Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to Scribology, operated by Kaycie Butler of Butler Scientific Communications, a self-employment business registered in Portugal. By subscribing to Scribology, you agree to the terms described below.

2. No Refunds

Scribology does not offer refunds for:

• Monthly subscription fees
• Partial months of use
• Unused time
• Accidental purchases
• Account termination due to misuse

All payments are final.

This policy ensures fairness and consistency for all users and reflects the digital nature of the service.

3. Subscription Cancellation

You may cancel your Scribology subscription at any time. When you cancel:

• Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period
• You will not be charged again
• Access will automatically expire at the end of the paid month

No prorated refunds or credits are issued for early cancellation.

4. Future Trial Periods

Scribology does not currently offer a free trial.

If a trial period is introduced in the future, this policy will be updated to reflect the applicable terms.

5. Misuse and Termination

Scribology may suspend or terminate your account without refund if you engage in misuse. Misuse includes, but is not limited to:

• Unauthorized access — attempting to access accounts, data, or systems without permission
• Copying or redistributing Scribology content — downloading, scraping, or reproducing lessons, animations, or prompts
• Automation or system abuse — using bots, scripts, or tools to manipulate lessons or overload the platform
• Uploading harmful or inappropriate content — malware, spam, abusive or illegal content
• Interfering with platform functionality — exploiting bugs, disrupting lesson flow, or manipulating progression
• Impersonation or fraud — pretending to be Scribology staff or accessing paid features without payment
• Illegal use — any activity violating Portuguese or EU law

If misuse occurs, Scribology may immediately restrict access, terminate your account, or take legal action when necessary.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date will reflect the most recent version. Continued use of Scribology after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
